Jacque's god parents were Jacques Blain and Anne de Prebourg. Jacque immigrated to Quebec in 1653 and was a limestone burner and merchant. Ten days after marrying, he was granted seven horned animals and had 28 arpents of land under cultivation at the Cote Saint-Joseph, which he still held in 1681. He worshipped in Notre Dame in Montreal.
