There are contradicting sources on the order, names, and years of birth of Simon's children. The first source claims Simon's first wife was Elizabeth and his second wife was Margery. This same source also includes Simon's will, which requests he be buried next to his wife, Elizabeth. This source's order of children is listed above (but this source lists no birth years) and claims that Richard's mother was Margery; he was her first child.

The second source (birth years above represent this source) claims that Margery was Simon's first wife and Elizabeth was second; this seems accurate since it claims that Margery died in 1508 and Elizabeth didn't die until 1558. It also claims a different birth order, putting Richard as the first child, making his mother Margery. So, despite the contradictory facts, it seems accurate to say that Richard's mother was Margery, although few other facts agree. This second source claims the birth order of the children were: Richard, William, Simon, Joan, Jerelon, Olive, John, Robert, Agnes, Margery, Jaffery, Joan (2), & Agnes (2).

According to the first source, Simon made his will on July 10, 1538 and it was proved July 13, 1538. In his will he desired to be buried at the chancel end of the Church of All Saints next to his father William, son Robert, son William, wife Elizabeth, son Jeffery, daughters Joan (Fiske) Iverton, Gelyne (Fiske) Warner, Agnes Fiske, and son Simon. John Fiske of Holton was the supervisor of his will. Simon Fiske's place of death was Laxfield, Suffolk England.
