The Dodge Cup
History & Description
The Dodge Cup was carved out of an oak tree from the backyard of the Dodge residence.
The Dodge Cup is made of solid oak, stained in a "Golden Oak" finish, with a badminton
net painted on. It is highlighted with a golden shuttlecock and pure gold plaques.
Traditions
Traditionally, The Dodge Cup remains in the house of the hosting badminton court
until the new plaque is engraved and attached to the trophy. At this point, each
member of the winning team takes the trophy home for a week. After this two week
period, The Dodge Cup is returned to the hosting house for the remainder of the
year.
As established by the inaugural winners, Justin R. and Brent M. in 2006 the spring
following the Tournament, the winning team members are entitled to have a photo
shoot with the trophy, which is to take place at the hosting house.
